South African officials have been holding talks with management and workers at the Lonmin’s Marikana platinum mine, where 44 people died earlier this month after police opened fire on protesters.
It’s an attempt to calm the atmosphere at the mine where tensions are still high, following the killings. VOR’s Hywel Davies reports on an incident that’s shocked the country and made headlines worldwide.
